U.S. Ambassador to Visit Kuldīga

U.S. Ambassador to Latvia Judith Garber will travel on her first visit to Kuldīga on Friday, August 20. During the visit she will meet with the Mayor Inga Bērziņa, other Kuldīga City Council Deputies and local civic leaders. This visit is a part of Ambassador’s familiarization trips to Latvian cities and towns.

Together with the Mayor, the Ambassador will visit the Kuldīga Great Synagogue, which is currently under reconstruction and will be completed next year. Ambassador Garber will also have a walk through such renowned landmarks of Kuldīga as the old bridge over the Venta River, St. Catherine’s Church and the Kuldīga Castle garden. The Ambassador will stop by the Kuldīga Museum of Regional studies and restoration centre.

After the official part of the program at the City Council, the Ambassador will have lunch together with a number of Kuldīga citizens, representing the non-governmental sector, journalists, business, arts and sports communities.
