US Ambassador Will Receive Condolence Letters in Commemoration of the Victims of Virginia Murders
Riga, April 18, 2007. – In response to the outpouring of condolences expressed by the Latvian public, the United States Ambassador to Latvia Catherine Todd Bailey will receive condolence letters in commemoration of the victims of the tragic events in Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Virginia, on behalf of the Latvian people. Ambassador Bailey will transfer these letters to Dr. Charles W. Steger, the President of Virginia Tech. The letters may be hand-delivered to the security guards of the American Embassy Riga at Raina blvd. 7 until close of business Monday, April 23rd.
Ambassador Catherine Todd Bailey would like to express her gratitude to all those who have offered their sympathy during this most tragic period.
