The U.S. Ambassador to Latvia Welcomes Hyatt Regency Hotel to Riga

Riga, April 05, 2007. – The United States Ambassador to Latvia Catherine Todd Bailey welcomes the signing today of a management agreement to build a Hyatt Regency Hotel in Riga. Chicago-based Global Hyatt Corporation, is an internationally recognized hospitality company that offers over 735 hotels and resorts in more than 44 countries across the world. Located in the heart of the city’s financial district and adjacent to Riga old town, the Hyatt Regency Riga will provide 166 generously sized rooms including 14 suites. The Hyatt Regency Riga is expected to be completed by autumn 2009.

The Ambassador noted, “Strengthening the economic relationship between our two countries is a top priority for the United States Government. We are proud that the prestigious American company Global Hyatt Corporation will establish a presence in Latvia, and wish this new venture great success.”
