Ambassador Garber Presents Credentials to President Zatlers
Riga, August 25, 2009. - Today new U.S. Ambassador to Latvia Judith G. Garber presented credentials to the President of Latvia Valdis Zatlers at the Riga Castle. According to tradition, the Ambassador was accompanied by her family – husband Paul Wisgerhof and children Elizabeth and Ryan, U.S. Military Attaché Lt. Col Colin Smith as well as the most senior and most junior American embassy officers – Deputy Chief of Mission Bruce Rogers and Political Officer Kelly Busby.
After the ceremony, Ambassador Garber answered questions from the media Ambassador Garber vowed to continue the strong relationship between the United States and Latvia.
