Ambassador Larson Gives Lecture on U.S. Presidential Election
 
On Monday October, 20th 2007 US Ambassador to Latvia Charles Larson address a group of  close to 100 students on the topic of the US Presidential Election.  The lecture took place at the Riga #1 Gymnasium.  Ambassador Larson described the process by which the President of the United States is elected, and answered questions about the candidates.  Larson encouraged the students to participate in the democratic process, and to be actively involved in their community.

The lecture is part of the Embassy’s ongoing Election Speakers Program in which American Embassy officials visit area schools to discuss the Presidential Election.
