Embassy Encourages Students to Study in the United States
RIGA – On Saturday, September20th, the US Embassy’s educational advising partner, EducationUSA, took part in an all day event encouraging Latvian students to study abroad. The event, titled “Travel and Return”, encouraged students to pursue academic degrees abroad and bring their experiences back to Latvia. EducationUSA hosted a booth with information about testing, admissions, and college selection. Embassy officials and American participants in the Fulbright program were on hand to share their experiences. Hundreds of people passed through the booth to inquire about study options, obtain information, or answer a trivia question – and receive a prize. The project is part of the Public Affairs Sectrions ongoing efforts to encourage Latvians to consider study in the United States.
