Conference Brings US Embassy and Library partners Together
On September 23, Ambassador Garber spoke to a conference of Information Resource Center (IRC) directors from the American Embassies in Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia as well as American Corner coordinators and library directors from the three Baltic countries.
Ambassador Garber joined the group to express her appreciation of the work that American Corners in Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia do to tell the story of the United States, and built relationships with people outside of Riga. The Ambassador stressed the important role that American Corners play to help maintain open dialogue, and build bridges of understanding between the people of the U.S. and Baltic States. Ambassador Garber encouraged the participants to take full advantage of the programs that the U.S. Embassies in Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia offer to its partners – American Corners.
