DAS Krilla Shares Insights About the Role of Human Rights in Foreign Policy

Deputy Assistant Secretary for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor, Jeffrey Krilla, took advantage of his recent visit to Latvia to speak to students about the role that human rights issues play in developing and implementing U.S. foreign policy.
Speaking to students enrolled in an international relations seminar at the University of Latvia, Krilla spoke about the importance of promoting tolerance for minority groups in Latvia and around the world.
He also encouraged the young people to get involved in their communities.
DAS Krilla answered questions from the students about a wide variety of topics.
