Riga, January 29, 2008 – January 29 at 11:00 a.m. the U.S. Ambassador Catherine Todd Bailey visited The Riga Music Boarding School to commemorate the purchase of the land to build a new American Embassy and recognize the friendship of our future neighbors, the school. The Ambassador also presented two brand new instruments to the music school, a French horn and a Euphonium.

The Ambassador Bailey emphasizes: “I want to express my gratitude and appreciation to everyone’s cooperation in the lengthy process until we finally reach completion of the new American Embassy in 2009. We want also to present to The Riga Music Boarding School the two music instruments to develop your nation’s young musical talent. This is a gift from American people to you.”
